At present there is no objective or ‘gold standard’ method of diagnosing or monitoring recovery from sports-related concussion (SRC). Wearables may provide a practical method to objectively assess patients balance and gait deficits in both clinic and in free-living (habitual) environments. Dylan’s research aims to test wearables for their capacity to capture robust objective data relevant to SRC in Rugby Union and better inform SRC management and return to play.
